VISION
Our most important vision is to establish the Molecular Biology and Genetics Undergraduate Program at Muğla University, in line with our mission to educate new generations with forward-looking, modern characteristics and qualities that meet the demands of the age. This program aims to equip young minds with high-level skills by providing them with fundamental molecular biology and genetics education. It seeks to cultivate individuals who can identify, define, formulate, and solve problems they will encounter in their field; who can access information, conduct research, and utilize and apply the databases and other information sources they obtain; who can work effectively both individually and in teams; who have the self-confidence to take responsibility; who are aware of the need for learning; who follow developments in science and technology and continuously update themselves; who can conduct projects; who are knowledgeable about the results of biotechnological and biosafety applications; who are also knowledgeable about entrepreneurship and innovation and the problems of the age; and who are aware of the universal and societal impacts of biological applications.
MISSION
Our aim as the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at MSKU Faculty of Science is to provide students with sufficient infrastructure in the fields of Molecular Biology and Genetics, bioengineering, and related subjects, and to enable them to use theoretical and practical knowledge in these areas for molecular biology and genetic solutions; to focus on research topics addressing important problems of our country and the world; and to be a department that contributes to national and universal development through the education, training, knowledge, and technology it will produce in national and international environments.
